Meeting of Nov 30/99
About 80 people showed up (packed the room!). Rolf Eipper (one of our fearless
club leaders) showed the Canadian stereo slide entries
to the
PSA competition that was just held in Toronto. Slides from
stereo-photographers of across Canada including some that were
entered by our members. Slides were well received with subjects ranging
from portraitures to scenic views. Eva and Peter gave some background on taking
stereo pictures which was helpful to those not familiar with the
technique.
We have some pictures of the meeting taken by
Peter Lowery, as well as pictures taken by John Asbacher of
the Gary Greenspoon's Tibet show.
Meeting of July 27/99
About 15 people showed up. Peter Lowery started the evening with 3D tid-bits.
Dragan Smekal followed with some of his stereo slides of human brain
dissections, shown with twin 35mm slide projectors. After intermission, Chris
Abramski talked on some of the directions and developments in 3D. This was
followed by projection of some historic View-Master reels of the moon
landing (Peter Lowery's, in honor of the space shuttle landing that evening).
Evening finished with projections of a small selection of Eva and Voytek's
full frame stereo pairs of their NewWest acreage (my, what a difference full
frame makes!).
Meeting of May 25/99
About 16 people showed up. I (Bernd) gave a presentation of my experience with shooting
stereo slides for the first time along with slides taken of my Barbados holiday. Peter
Lowery followed with a selection of his favourites. Part of the news bits section included
an intro to our new listserv.
