San Francisco, CA World Wind software |
Stereo views are from Landsat 7 satellite images and Shuttle radar topographic data.
San Francisco view was generated from NASA software that uses satellite images and
topography data to present detailed, perspective views into world locations.
The 3D stereo effect is the result of a scene being photographed from two views,
either from two locations or from the scene rotating to two positions. Optical disparity
can occur in the stereo view with movement between the two images. Satellite stereo
views often use exaggerated apparent height and enhanced color.
