Individual Viewing

As an individual peers through a viewing device (such as View Master or a Holmes viewer), it forms a very personal, immersive experience. It is restricted to an individual experience by needing a viewer device that presents the stereo view.

3D Slides

Slides are commonly viewed through a specialized viewer (such as View-Master). Slides can also be projected with specialized projector onto a silver screen for viewing with polarized glasses.

3D Products

Consumer products often revolve around a custom viewer. Products have had success in toy and travel souvenir markets using 3D slides. Historical print twin views are collector’s items.

VR

Virtual reality immersive environment can take the form of specialized headgear actively driven by a computer. Applications revolve around dynamically generating 3D views rather than presenting a show.
