Applications Overview
Most markets for 3D divide between projected and print presentations. Individual viewing and 3D displays currently form a smaller part of our market interests. New auto-stereoscopic technologies may drive 3D displays into a larger market share.

3D Projected

Projected presentations form a unique promotional tool to enhance trade shows, expositions, kiosks or group presentations. Computer driven digital projectors present a 3D show onto a silver screen that is viewed in full color with polarized glasses.

3D Published

Publishing for mass distribution (such as magazines) often utilizes anaglyph presentation of 3D for viewing convenience. Individual uses of 3D (such as wedding photos) are usually formatted as twin views.

3D Individual

As an individual peers through a viewing device (such as View Master or a Holmes viewer), it forms a very personal, immersive experience. It is restricted to an individual experience by needing a viewer device that presents the stereo view.

3D Display

3D displays often utilizes special technology to present an image in 3D which requires no viewing glasses (called auto-stereoscopic). The dynamic approach utilizes a specialized 3d digital monitor to permit video, animation or slides shows. Alternate approaches, such as lenticular or holographic, yield static, single 3D picture.

Some small consumer products/novelties have successfully incorporated some 3D techniques for their markets. this might be used as an add-on to 3D presentations.
